AI ON MY MIND
Happy Tuesday,
For the first time ever, a major fashion publication has featured a fully AI-generated model in a print campaign. Vogue is showcasing the AI creation in a new ad for Guess, moving generative AI from a background tool to a front-and-center product.
The move signals a major shift for creative industries, but it also raises difficult questions about beauty standards.
By the way, I've been getting questions about how AI works in practice, so I'm launching a separate newsletter that dives deeper into real business applications and practical advice. [Click here if you're interested].

TODAY’S TOP STORIES

Vogue's New Model Isn't Real
The Recap: For the first time, Vogue featured a fully AI-generated model in a two-page print ad for the fashion brand Guess. The move is sparking a significant debate about the future of creative industries and beauty standards.
Unpacked:
London-based agency Seraphinne Vallora created the images, a process they say takes several weeks and hundreds of iterations to perfect.
Brands like Guess are likely exploring AI models to cut traditional photoshoot costs and gain complete creative control over campaign environments.
The agency noted that using more diverse AI models led to a 90% decrease in online engagement, highlighting the market forces that reinforce traditional beauty norms.
Bottom line: This campaign marks a major milestone for AI, moving it from a back-end tool to a front-facing creative product in a top-tier publication. The event forces a conversation about balancing technological capability with ethical responsibility and the irreplaceable value of the human touch in art.

Tesla's $16.5B AI Chip Bet
The Recap: Tesla is betting big on its AI future, striking a massive $16.5 billion, eight-year deal with Samsung. Samsung will manufacture Tesla's next-generation 2nm AI chips in Texas to power self-driving cars, humanoid robots, and data centers.
Unpacked:
This deal breathes new life into Samsung’s contract manufacturing business, offering a potential turning point in its struggle against market leader TSMC.
Producing the chips at Samsung's Texas factory helps Tesla lessen the risk of future supply-chain disruptions or international tariff friction.
All eyes are now on Samsung to prove it can deliver the cutting-edge chips at the right volume and quality, though they won't appear in cars for at least a year or two.
Bottom line: This partnership secures a critical supply of custom silicon for Tesla’s ambitious AI-driven product roadmap. For Samsung, this is a high-stakes chance to demonstrate its manufacturing prowess and seriously challenge its competitors.
MY FAVORITE AI TOOLS

Relevance is my favorite AI tool right now (even more so than N8N).
Here’s why:
It’s an AI agent building tool that doesn’t require you to build out the logic using nodes. Instead, you use natural language to build out these agents. But the best thing imo is that you can build AI Agent teams.
Like agents talking to each other completing a goal until its done. It’s nuts. No other tool on the market is doing this. You have to check it out.

A Tiny AI Thinks Like a Brain
The Recap: Researchers have developed a tiny 27-million-parameter AI that uses a novel 'brain-like' architecture to solve complex reasoning puzzles, dramatically outperforming models thousands of times its size.
Unpacked:
Unlike models relying on step-by-step prompting, the Hierarchical Reasoning Model (HRM) uses a 'brain-like' structure with a high-level 'planner' and a low-level 'worker' to think more strategically.
In benchmark tests, HRM dominated much larger models, solving 55% of extreme Sudoku puzzles while competitors like Claude 3.7 scored 0%.
The model's design is incredibly efficient, learning to solve pro-level challenges in just two GPU hours, and its 27M parameters are four times fewer than the original GPT-1 model from 2018.
Bottom line: This breakthrough demonstrates that model architecture, not just sheer scale, is a crucial path toward more capable AI. It opens the door to a future where powerful reasoning models can run efficiently on local machines, not just in massive data centers.

Microsoft Edge Gets an AI Pilot
The Recap: Microsoft is launching 'Copilot Mode', an experimental feature for its Edge browser. The new mode transforms the browser into an agentic assistant that understands context across your web activity to help you get things done.
Unpacked:
With multi-tab context, Copilot can see across all your open tabs to compare products, summarize research, and answer complex questions without constant switching.
The assistant will soon book reservations and manage other errands by accessing your browser history and credentials with your permission.
This optional feature is free for now on Windows and Mac, integrating chat, search, and navigation into a single, clean input box on new tabs.
Bottom line: This signals a fundamental shift for browsers from passive portals to active partners in your workflow. It also sharpens the competition for what a truly AI-native browsing experience will look like.
