✨ AI Makes Research Easy, Here’s How
The other day, we were writing a video sales letter. In one part of the writing process, we needed some help pulling data from relevant sources supporting our words.
It was relatively easy to find supporting information thanks to AI. Here are a few AI tools that you can use to research better.
Perplexity. This is our favorite of the bunch. We’ve talked about Perplexity before, but here’s a cool technique: Ask Perplexity to research different stats that support your argument. And if none exist, It will steer you in the best direction. More on this process below.
Phind. Phind is similar to Perplexity but uses its own Large Lanague Model to process requests. Phind also has it’s own chatbot experience that is separate from it’s search.
Komo. Komo is another AI answer tool. There is not much of a difference between Phind and Perplexity; it's just another model for you to test.
All three of these tools lead the charge on AI-answer-based search engines that don’t rely on Google. This is a HUGE shift since most people want answers quickly, and AI provides that.
But how did we use these tools to find supporting information? We asked it things like:
Can you research the current state of inflation and shrink flation in the United States. Please give me details and numbers on the hardships this is causing everyday Americans
OR
Can you find articles that back up this claim: "59% of people are behind one-month car payment or house payment?"
OR
In fact, the number one cause of bankruptcy is health-related bills. What about that claim? Can you find a reputable source?
You get the point. AI will do the research for you by asking these types of questions. It will also provide you with the exact source from which it pulled the information.
This makes writing marketing assets like ads or video sales letters easy because you don’t have to spend hours researching and finding supporting claims.
With AI, you can find them in less than 5 minutes.

🤖 Tyler Perry and AI?
Tyler Perry says he has halted his studio's $800M expansion after seeing OpenAI’s text-to-video model Sora.
He adds that he just used AI in 2 of his films and that with Sora “I no longer would have to travel to locations. If I wanted to be in the snow in Colorado, it’s text.”
This is interesting since most people don’t want AI in films. However, Perry makes a great point.
AI is very good at creating landscapes. It’s not so good at creating human emotions and movement.
AI will not replace filmmaking. However, it may replace parts of filmmaking.
We see the workflow being this. AI creates landscapes like “Snow in Colorado” for the b-roll.
But the natural acting is left to, well, the actors.
This levels the playing field for filmmakers, not just big studios.
The small guys don’t have to worry about travel budgets, while the big studios can get creative with how they approach AI in post-editing.
The hybrid AI approach is how AI should be used whether it's for video or text - human and AI collaboration isn’t the future; it’s now.
