In last week's coaching call, a student asked me a thought-provoking question:

"Do you feel a sense of responsibility when it comes to teaching AI, knowing both the positive and negative things it can do?"

He asked this after I’d shared some concerning examples of AI's darker potential, like:

  • AI-generated deepfakes

  • AI agents used for blackmail

  • AI tools capable of hacking or scamming people out of thousands—even millions

Honestly, it’s something I’ve considered, though maybe not as deeply as I should.

I’ve personally helped thousands of people learn about AI in one way or another—likely, you’re reading this because you found one of my posts on the topic.

There’s no question that AI is reshaping our world.

But it wouldn’t feel right to only highlight the exciting parts without acknowledging the risks.

With any groundbreaking technology, some will inevitably try to misuse it. We can’t stop that entirely. But we can stay informed and vigilant.

As someone who’s learning the ins and outs of AI firsthand, I believe it’s crucial to share both the good and the bad.

My goal has always been, and will continue to be, to give you a balanced view of AI.

I hope I’m doing that well.
