I read an article today that said SaaS businesses are evolving into Software-Delivered Services (SDS), shifting from fixed monthly fees to outcome-based pricing.

This is an interesting thought because it makes a lot of sense.

For example, AI-led Customer Success tools charge a fixed monthly rate, when instead they could charge based on the success of the customer.

This aligns the incentives of the provider and customer, encouraging the provider to deliver maximum value.

Similarly, other SaaS offerings may transition to an outcome-based pricing model, focusing on the results achieved rather than the software itself.

This shift towards Software-Delivered Services represents a new way in how technology is consumed and monetized.
