AI's Science Breakthrough

  • Skills operate as a folder-based system containing instruction files, scripts, and reference materials that Claude loads dynamically based on the task's relevance.

  • An interactive "skill-creator" assistant lets users build custom skills with no coding expertise required, making the process accessible to non-technical teams.

  • Multiple skills can also coordinate on complex tasks, combining things like brand guidelines with financial reporting templates in a single workflow.

Bottom line: By packaging expertise into simple folders instead of code, Anthropic lowers the barrier for companies to deploy custom AI agents. This approach makes it more practical for businesses to infuse their unique internal knowledge into AI for scalable automation.

Microsoft's AI Learns Your PC

The Recap: Microsoft is starting to test "Copilot Actions" in Windows 11, a new feature that allows its AI assistant to directly control your PC to automate multi-step tasks on your local files. The preview is rolling out first to members of the Windows Insider Program.
