OpenAI is reportedly preparing to launch a new advanced AI model called 'Strawberry' that can solve complex math problems, develop marketing strategies, and even tackle challenging word puzzles.

Google Meet’s automatic AI note-taking is here

Google Meet has launched an AI-powered "take notes for me" feature that automatically summarizes meeting discussions into key points. The feature is now rolling out to Google Workspace customers with specific plans and is expected to be fully available by September 10th, 2024.

• The AI note-taking feature works similarly to Meet's transcription tool but condenses the conversation into a summary instead of transcribing every word.

• After the meeting, the notes are automatically organized into a Google Doc and attached to the calendar event for easy reference.

• The feature currently only supports English audio and could be helpful for those who struggle with processing spoken language while taking notes.

According to research by the RAND Corporation, over 80% of AI projects fail, wasting billions of dollars in capital and resources. The main reasons for failure include misalignment of goals between stakeholders, data scientists getting distracted by the latest AI developments without considering their practical value, lack of properly prepared data sets, and inadequate infrastructure.

Despite China outpacing the U.S. in generative AI patents, only one Chinese organization made the top 20 entities receiving the most citations between 2010 and 2023, indicating that many AI projects fail to deliver real-world applications
