The Recap:  Netflix has officially used generative AI to create final footage for its Argentine sci-fi series, The Eternauts. The technology produced a complex building collapse scene 10 times faster than traditional methods, making high-end VFX affordable for the show's budget.

  • Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos revealed the AI-powered sequence was crucial, as the cost of creating it with conventional tools would have been too high for the project's budget.
