OpenAI has unveiled o1, a new family of generative AI models that can effectively fact-check themselves by taking more time to consider all parts of a question. o1 is currently available in ChatGPT for Plus and Team subscribers, as well as through OpenAI's API, although access is limited and pricing is high.
o1 uses reinforcement learning and a new optimization algorithm to "think" before responding, allowing it to reason through tasks more holistically.
