AI ON MY MIND

Happy Tuesday!

I'm seeing a pattern lately.

People are starting to believe AI can do everything. Like it’s this all-knowing system that solves every problem just because we slapped the word “Agent” on it.

But it’s not there yet.

This reminds me of the early 2000s when everyone thought we’d have flying cars by 2025. That kind of thinking was way off. Same thing’s happening here with AI.

Yes—AI is powerful. Yes—it can handle a lot. But thinking it can replace every part of your business right now? Wrong approach.

You should absolutely be testing where AI or agents can help. Automating follow-ups. Structuring data. Speeding up content. That stuff works.

But we’re not in full autopilot mode yet. You still need judgment, iteration, and real operators behind the scenes.

So ask yourself:

Where can AI assist, not replace.

Humain AI

Saudi Arabia announced Humain, a new AI initiative designed to position the country as a leading AI hub in the Middle East.

Why it matters: Saudi Arabia’s investment in AI underscores its strategic pivot towards technology as a key economic driver, reducing dependency on oil revenues.

Driving the news:

Saudi's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is spearheading this move.

- The country aims to attract global AI talent and investments.

- Humain is backed by the nation’s Public Investment Fund.

Zoom in:

The announcement highlights a bold vision for AI leadership.

- Case study: PIF's other tech investments have yielded significant returns.

- "This endeavor represents a necessary leap forward," said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Yes, but: There’s concern over regulatory frameworks and ethical AI usage, which remain underdeveloped in the region.

Be Smart: This move could reshape the country's economic landscape, enticing more international tech collaborations.

The bottom line: Humain is poised to make Saudi Arabia a contender in the global AI race, but success will hinge on navigating complex ethical and regulatory terrains.

AI predicts cancer outcomes from photos

Why it matters: The integration of AI in healthcare can significantly enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment personalization.

What we found:

Mass General Brigham’s FaceAge analyzes facial photographs to estimate biological age and predict cancer survival outcomes.

How it works:

- The AI uses facial metrics to assess health-related aging indicators.

- Researchers apply this data to refine treatment plans.

Yes, but: The technology's efficacy is still under scrutiny, as biological age approximation may not cover all health variabilities.

The bottom line: If validated, FaceAge could revolutionize personalized healthcare by providing new, predictive insights into patient outcomes.
