AI ON MY MIND
Happy Tuesday!
It’s no surprise that AI is creating a snowball effect, growing bigger and faster as it rolls through every aspect of our lives.
This momentum is reshaping how we work, live, and plan for the future.
The impact of AI is visible across multiple industries. In healthcare, AI tools are enhancing diagnosis accuracy and speeding up drug discovery. Financial institutions use AI for fraud detection and personalized banking experiences. Retailers leverage AI for inventory management and personalized recommendations, while manufacturers employ it to optimize production lines and predict equipment failures.
This rapid AI adoption is changing the job market. And this will be more apparent as we enter the age of AI agents.
However, this momentum also brings challenges.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has raised concerns about privacy and confidentiality in AI applications. As AI spreads into sensitive areas like law enforcement and national security, we need to address issues of bias and fairness.
Steering this AI momentum in the right direction is crucial. It's not about stopping the flow of progress, but guiding it to where it's most beneficial and least harmful. This requires ongoing dialogue between tech developers, policymakers, and the public to establish ethical guidelines and ensure AI benefits society as a whole.
But to be honest, I think AI is moving too fast for policy makers to catch up.
Which is frightening because AGI will be here sooner than later and that will cause a whole new world shift like we have never seen before.
But I digress. Let’s get into the news.

TODAY’S TOP STORIES

💻 Elon Musk's DOGE Team Accesses Sensitive Department of Education Data
Elon Musk's DOGE team has gained access to sensitive Department of Education data, raising significant privacy and security concerns. The team is reportedly using Microsoft's Azure to process this data through AI, with the aim of cutting spending.
An Education Department official confirmed that Musk's team has accessed vast databases containing students' personal and financial information.
DOGE team members have administrator-level status in the department's email system, potentially allowing access to sensitive information.
The team is feeding federal data into AI software to analyze agency programs and spending.
My opinion: DOGE is deploying AI into their reworking of the government. I’m all for it. However, the rapid deployment raises crucial questions about data privacy, security protocols, and the ethical use of AI in analyzing sensitive information. As AI continues to advance, it's imperative that we all champion robust safeguards to protect citizens' data while harnessing the potential benefits of AI-driven analysis.

⛔️ South Korea Blocks DeepSeek Access Over Security Concerns
South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has temporarily blocked access to DeepSeek, a Chinese AI startup, on official devices due to security concerns. This move reflects growing worries about potential leaks of sensitive information through AI platforms.
The decision extends beyond the industry ministry, with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety urging caution across government agencies.
This ban is part of a broader trend of heightened scrutiny of generative AI models like DeepSeek and ChatGPT in government settings.
South Korea's proactive stance demonstrates the increasing importance of addressing information security issues in the AI era.
My opinion: DeepSeek has gotten a bad rep every since it was first released. I think more countries will follow suite due to security concerns. I just don’t know if this is the right play to be honest. 🤷♂️

✨Using N8N To Build AI Agents
i just built an ai agent that writes the @BestOfAIDaily newsletter for me using n8n.
Used niche.ai and feedly.ai to scrape rss feeds then store that in supabase, then the ai agent retrieves all stories for the day, writes the intro then calls on… x.com/i/web/status/1…
