👀 Anthropic’s new AI model can control your PC

Anthropic has released an upgraded version of Claude 3.5 Sonnet that can control desktop applications through a new Computer Use API, allowing it to simulate human-like interactions with software through keystrokes, clicks, and mouse movements.

The AI can understand screen contents and navigate software interfaces, marking a significant step towards Anthropic's vision of AI-powered virtual assistants that can handle various back-office tasks autonomously.

  • The model can browse the web and interact with any application, though it currently succeeds in less than half of airline booking tasks and struggles with basic actions like scrolling.

  • Anthropic has implemented safety measures, including classifiers to prevent high-risk actions and a 30-day screenshot retention policy.

This time they released a new feature called Act-one that allows you to film a video and apply the emotions of that video to an image.

It’s pretty crazy.

✨ Ideogram Launches Canvas

One thing most AI image generators lack is the ability to customize generated images.

But Ideogram released a new function called Canvas that changes that.

It’s an infinite creative board for organizing, generating, editing, and combining images.

Users can now use industry-leading Magic Fill and Extend to blend them with creative, AI-generated content.
