✨ How To Get Better At Prompting
We keep seeing people on Twitter say that ChatGPT isn’t as good as it once was.
In some capacity, it has seen a decline in performance, but to be honest, we think most people don’t know how to use it properly.
So how do you use ChatGPT or any other Large Language Model for that matter?
You follow a framework. This is the same framework that we use every time we want to get a decent response from ChatGPT.
We call it the 5-point framework and if you follow this you’ll get better responses guaranteed.
Point 1:
Desired Output: Clearly mention what you expect in the response. For instance, rather than asking for a "LinkedIn post," be specific about the tone and content you desire.
Point 2:
Constraints: Set limits like the maximum word count, the subject, or mention what you don't want in the response.
Point 3:
Context: Give ChatGPT a backdrop – explain the why, offer details about yourself, or inform it about your audience.
Point 4:
Examples: To ensure accuracy, offer a sample of what you’re aiming for.
Point 5:
Formatting Details: Let ChatGPT know if you have a specific structure in mind, like the inclusion of subheadings or a particular layout.
Here’s the 5-point framework in action. Instead of saying:
“I want you to read the doc and then take the key learning points and put them in bullets.”
Say:
Desire: “I want you you to read the doc and then take the key learning points and Format: put them in bullets.
Context: I am doing this to create bullets on why someone should read my ebook.
Example: Here's an example format that you can follow:
How to avoid the most common mistakes new entrepreneurs make.
How I “Shortcut” the process of building high-value, in-demand, and recession-proof skills.
How to launch a digital business without needing advanced degrees or ever stepping foot in a corporate cubicle.
Plus a bonus video on the next page that brings it all together so anyone can get started with 100% confidence!
Constraints: Do not use the example in your response just take it as a reference.”
This adds the extra details ChatGPT needs to fully understand what you want to be created.
ChatGPT and other Large Language Models are not mind readers (even if sometimes seems like it).
You need to be the operator and tell ChatGPT exactly what you want. Otherwise, you are going to get subpar responses.
This seems trivial and maybe you already know this, but reminders always help solidify concepts.
Text To Video Coming To ChatGPT?!
🤖 ChatGPT SOARS!
OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT, just announced their latest model called Soar. It’s a text-to-video application that creates hyper-realistic videos from text.
Just look at how real this looks:
Prompt: An adorable happy otter confidently stands on a surfboard wearing a yellow lifejacket, riding along turquoise tropical waters near lush tropical islands, 3D digital render art style.
Prompt: The camera directly faces colorful buildings in burano Italy.
Prompt: a monkey playing chess in a park
You can see more videos on our Twitter.
Soar hasn’t been released to the public yet but once it does you know we’ll have you covered.
