New research from MIT shows people who talk to AI chatbots a lot tend to feel more lonely.

Which is kind of surprising since I thought chatbots could alleviate loneliness.

But the truth is real human bonds matter in ways AI can't match.

I see this in my own life when I catch myself turning to AI for quick answers instead of talking things through with friends.

AI is amazing at facts and analysis, but it can't give you a hug or laugh at your bad jokes.

And tbh, we need more hugs and laughs.
