AI ON MY MIND
Happy Thursday,
Apple is making a major move to catch up in the AI race, reportedly partnering with Google to power a massive Siri overhaul. The new system, internally called 'World Knowledge Answers,' will test Gemini models to transform the long-criticized assistant.
The move marks a significant shift from Apple's traditional walled-garden strategy. But will integrating a rival's technology be the key to finally transforming Siri into the intelligent assistant users have been demanding?
By the way, I've been getting questions about how AI works in practice, so I'm launching a separate newsletter that dives deeper into real business applications and practical advice. [Click here if you're interested].

TODAY’S TOP STORIES

Apple's Siri Overhaul
The Recap: Apple is overhauling Siri with a new AI-powered search system, internally called 'World Knowledge Answers'. The company is reportedly testing Google's Gemini model to power the upgrade in a major push to catch up in the AI race.
Unpacked:
The project aims to transform Siri into an "answer engine" that provides comprehensive responses using text, photos, videos, and local information.
A custom Google Gemini model will reportedly be tested on Apple's private cloud servers, a deal seen as more favorable than a rumored $1.5B annual proposal from Anthropic.
This move signals Apple is choosing to build its own capabilities rather than acquire competitors, having reportedly shelved acquisition talks with Perplexity to pursue this internal development.
Bottom line: This partnership marks a significant strategy shift for Apple, moving away from its traditional in-house-only approach to accelerate its AI development. A successful integration could finally transform Siri into the competitive, intelligent assistant users have been waiting for.

China's New AI Agent
The Recap: Chinese AI firm DeepSeek plans to launch a new model in Q4 with advanced AI Agent capabilities, aiming to perform complex, multi-step tasks with minimal instruction and challenge US competitors.
Unpacked:
The new model aims to perform multi-step operations for users with minimal instruction, learning and improving from its past actions.
By leveraging an open-source framework, DeepSeek claims its models can be trained for a fraction of the cost of competitors, with some estimates suggesting a 30-fold reduction in expenses.
The model's rise has intensified the U.S.-China tech rivalry, prompting a review by the U.S. National Security Council and a proposed "No DeepSeek on Government Devices Act".
Bottom line: The push into advanced AI agents signals a shift from simple chatbots to autonomous systems that execute complex workflows. This move intensifies global competition, challenging the dominance of Western AI labs and accelerating the availability of powerful open-source tools.
MY FAVORITE AI TOOLS

Relevance is my favorite AI tool right now (even more so than N8N).
Here’s why:
It’s an AI agent building tool that doesn’t require you to build out the logic using nodes. Instead, you use natural language to build out these agents. But the best thing imo is that you can build AI Agent teams.
Like agents talking to each other completing a goal until its done. It’s nuts. No other tool on the market is doing this. You have to check it out.

Anker's Coin-Sized AI Recorder
The Recap: Anker has unveiled the Soundcore Work, a coin-sized wearable AI voice recorder that transcribes, summarizes, and highlights key moments from conversations using models like GPT-4.1.
Unpacked:
The device weighs just 10 grams and offers eight hours of battery life on a single charge, which extends to 32 hours with its proprietary charging case.
It operates on GPT-4.1 for transcription in over 100 languages, using a simple tap to record and a double-tap to mark important sections for later review.
The recorder costs $99.99 for basic services, with a $15.99 monthly subscription planned for additional features, and sends encrypted audio to the cloud for processing.
Bottom line: The Soundcore Work shows the trend of AI hardware becoming smaller and more accessible for everyday use. This makes capturing meeting notes or spontaneous ideas as simple as tapping a device on your shirt.

If you want to get rich on X, it isn't going to be through creator revenue or meme coins.
Instead, think about one subject matter that you know more about than anyone else in the world. It can be anything: plumbing, menswear, Indian food, furniture, social apps, whatever.
