AI ON MY MIND

It's becoming easier to spot written AI-generated content.

Why? Because AI often uses words and phrases that everyday people don't use.

Take "delve," for example. Who uses that word? I rarely saw it before ChatGPT came along.

When you see phrases like "It's like having xyz," "Picture this," or my least favorite, "effortlessly," chances are it's AI-generated.

I'm not saying AI-written content is bad. The issue is that most people just copy and paste AI responses without editing.

As AI adoption grows, more people will be able to tell when content is 100% AI-generated versus 80% AI with 20% human editing.

But I'll show you a trick to make it 95% AI and 5% human...

It's simple: Tell the AI not to use certain words when writing.

I've compiled a list for you to add to your ChatGPT or Claude prompts or custom instructions.

📱 Apple Intelligence release date leaked – here's when the first AI features are set to arrive on your iPhone (LINK)

Apple is gearing up to introduce AI features to iPhones, with the first wave expected to arrive in iOS 18 on Oct. 28.

  • Apple has not confirmed the exact date iOS 18.1 will debut, but it just released the iOS 18.1 public beta 2, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman tips an Oct. 28 launch date.

  • More features will follow in 2025, when the fully revamped Siri debuts as well as support for more languages.

  • The company is investing heavily in AI, with plans to spend about $1 billion annually on AI development.

🏎️ The Race to Block OpenAI’s Scraping Bots Is Slowing Down (LINK)

OpenAI's recent licensing agreements with publishers are causing a shift in the landscape of AI bot blocking. The number of news sites using robots.txt to restrict OpenAI's GPTBot has decreased from its peak, with major publishers like Dotdash Meredith, Vox, and Condé Nast striking deals and allowing access.

  • At its height, over a third of popular news sites blocked GPTBot, but this has now dropped to about a quarter.

  • Among top news organizations, the blocking rate remains above 50%, down from nearly 90% earlier this year.

  • As more agreements are established, the overall proportion of sites blocking AI crawlers is expected to decline further.

✨ Super real AI images, thanks to Flux 1

The image above is not real.

There was a time when you could easily spot AI-generated images by looking at the hands and mouths.

However, since the introduction of the AI image model FLUX it's become much harder to tell.

This is both good and bad.

It's good because, creatively speaking, it allows for better outputs. But it's bad because we know this technology will likely be exploited for harmful purposes at some point.

Nevertheless, it's fascinating to see people develop new techniques to create realistic AI images.

For example, adding "IMG_1025.HEIC" to prompts tells the AI that the photo should look like it came from a phone (since HEIC files are specific to Apple devices).
