James Earl Jones Signed Over Rights For AI To Recreate Darth Vader’s Voice

James Earl Jones, the legendary voice behind Darth Vader, has signed over the rights to his iconic voice to AI company Respeecher, ensuring that the character will live on even after his passing.

Jones, now 91, wants to wind down his career but keep Vader's voice alive for future generations.
Respeecher, a Ukrainian AI company, recreated Vader's dialogue in the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi series using Jones' archival recordings.
Jones was paid just $7,000 for his original Darth Vader role in the first Star Wars film in 1977.

CardiaTec, a Cambridge University spinout, has raised $6.5 million to tackle cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) using AI to accelerate drug discovery. By analyzing vast amounts of biological data from human heart tissues, the company aims to identify novel, targeted therapeutics for the world's leading cause of death.

CardiaTec has partnerships with 65 hospitals in the U.K. and U.S. to access human heart tissue and generate the largest multi-omics dataset.
The company's computational models analyze genetics, epigenetics, gene expression, and protein function to understand disease mechanisms.
Only 3% of active AI-first companies target CVDs, despite it being the leading global cause of death.

Amazon is enabling Audible narrators to create AI-generated voice clones of themselves to accelerate audiobook production. The beta program, starting this week in the US, will allow select narrators to train AI on their voices and maintain control over projects using their voice replica or live performance.

Narrators will be compensated through a royalty share model on a title-by-title basis when their AI voice clone is used.
Participants can create voice replicas for free during the beta and will have access to production tools to modify pronunciation and pacing.
Audiobooks narrated by AI voice clones will be clearly labeled, and Amazon emphasized narrators will control the use of their voice replica.

First, generate an image to use with image-to-video. You can create your own images right inside of RenderNet too.

Alternatively, you can use a tool like MidJourney.

When you have an image prepared you’ll need to animate with an AI tool.

Runway is a great option for realistic videos of people.

Lastly, you just need to upload audio or provide a script for text to speech and RenderNet will sync the lips to the audio.
