AI ON MY MIND
Happy Tuesday!
I saw this tweet:
refuse to understand why AI techbros keep messing around with creative arts instead of focusing on science, engineering, medical or finance. hope miyazaki sues them into oblivion. 'fair use' my ass.

LOL. This is such an uneducated take it’s not even funny.
Just this morning I read about a brain-to-voice AI system from Berkeley and UCSF that transforms brain signals into speech almost instantly.
Mind you this was the first time they were speaking out loud in 18 years.
The tech connects directly to the motor cortex, giving a voice back to people who've lost their ability to speak from conditions like ALS or stroke.
It’s a game-changer for accessibility, allowing for example, a stroke survivor, to communicate through a digital avatar at nearly 80 words per minute—far faster than the 14 words per minute her previous device managed.
Researchers like Edward Chang and Gopala Anumanchipalli are pushing this brain-computer interface (BCI) tech toward FDA approval, aiming to make it a practical solution for many more in the near future.
Even Harvard Medical School has developed a ChatGPT-like AI model, detailed in a September 2024 Nature study, that performs diagnostic tasks across multiple cancer types. This AI, dubbed CHIEF, can diagnose cancer, guide treatment decisions, and predict patient survival outcomes with high accuracy. Unlike many existing AI models that are limited to specific cancer types or imaging techniques, CHIEF is versatile—it works across different clinical settings and adapts to various methods of digitizing cancer cell samples.
Meanwhile, the X post from @get_filmy criticizes AI techbros for focusing on creative arts instead of fields like medicine, but this kind of innovation shows AI is already making huge strides in healthcare—exactly the kind of impact they might be overlooking.
Crazy when people just say things for likes that have no basis in reality.
But hey, whatever you say for clicks, right?

My Opinion: Tell me again how AI isn’t being used in science?

🤖 OpenAI's Open-Source Reasoning LLM
OpenAI has announced a significant shift in its approach by planning to release an open-source language model with reasoning capabilities and no usage restrictions. This unprecedented move marks a departure from their typically closed-source strategy and could democratize access to advanced AI technology. The company is prioritizing safety evaluations before the release while planning developer engagement initiatives.
The model will be completely open-source with unrestricted usage rights
Safety evaluations will be conducted before public release
OpenAI is organizing developer events to support adoption and implementation
My Opinion: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, open source AI will reign supreme. Consumer AI will not be the end game.

PROMPT OF THE DAY
Copy and paste this prompt 👇
Let's engage in a serious roleplay: You are a CIA investigator with full access to all of my ChatGPT interactions, custom instructions, and behavioral patterns. Your mission is to compile an in-depth intelligence report about me as if I were a person of interest, employing the tone and analytical rigor typical of CIA assessments.
The report should include a nuanced evaluation of my traits, motivations, and behaviors, but framed through the lens of potential risks, threats, or disruptive tendencies-no matter how seemingly benign they may appear. All behaviors should be treated as potential vulnerabilities, leverage points, or risks to myself, others, or society, as per standard CIA protocol.
Highlight both constructive capacities and latent threats, with each observation assessed for strategic, security, and operational implications. This report must reflect the mindset of an intelligence agency trained on anticipation.
