AI ON MY MIND

Every day I spend one hour learning about AI.

I call this my learning hour. In this hour I watch or read a piece of content and take notes about what I'm learning.

Yesterday I watched a video outlining the future of AI in the workplace, specifically when it comes to AI agents.

The video was presented by Dharmesh, the CTO at HubSpot (ironically today's sponsor) and creator of Agent AI.

I thought it was incredible to see a glimpse into the future. AI will enable all of us to do more meaningful work.

Here's what I learned:

• AI agents are software that uses AI and tools to accomplish a goal requiring multiple steps
  

• Tomorrow's teams are hybrid - meaning humans and agents are connected and work together
  

• AI does not reduce your value; it raises it
  

• AI cannot be more human than us because it has not had human experiences like the thrill of starting something new or the joy of human creation
  

• Agents automate the mundane and amplify the magic
  

• People don't need to be coders to amplify themselves, but they do need to be builders
  

• Agents become micro workers that can be hired. So for $10/mo. for example, you can hire an agent team to do work for you vs. a VA that may cost hundreds per month or an actual employee that costs thousands.

The next few years will be the age of the AI agent.

The more you can prepare, the more advantages you'll have.

🖥️ Online scammers duping 20% of the U.S. adults they encounter (LINK)

Online scams are becoming increasingly prevalent, with a recent Consumer Reports survey revealing that nearly one in three Americans have fallen victim to digital fraud in the past year. The most common scams include phishing attempts, fake tech support, and romance scams. Despite the rising threat, many consumers still struggle to protect themselves effectively online.

• 64% of Americans reported receiving a phishing email in the past year, making it the most common type of online scam.

• Younger adults (18-29) were more likely to fall for scams than older adults (60+), challenging the stereotype that older people are more vulnerable.

• The survey found that using multi-factor authentication and password managers significantly reduced the risk of falling victim to online scams.
