This morning I watched Sony's leaked footage of their AI-powered Aloy character. Fans loved Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West for her authentic personality.

But Sony's attempt to make her talk using AI felt empty.

The AI version missed the subtle facial expressions and emotional depth that made players connect with her story.

This goes beyond just video games. AI can copy words, movements, and voices. But it struggles to capture the “human”.

As someone who has used AI Avatars to get thousands of views, we still have some ways to go before its 100% indistinguishable.
